Diagnostic Imaging

Diagnostic Imaging

Since Wilhelm Röntgen accidentally invented the X-ray in 1895, taking a non-invasive look inside the human body has been a staple of diagnostic medicine. Without touching a scalpel, radiologists can produce images of vital organs, bones, veins and arteries, which are used to accurately diagnose and guide treatments for many conditions.

HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley® offers a multitude of diagnostic imaging technologies, with comprehensive outpatient, walk-in services available at Benedictine Hospital and Margaretville Hospital. Outpatient MRI is currently hosted at Kingston Hospital.

Our staff of board-certified radiologists performs a wide variety of diagnostic procedures, including X-rays, Ultrasound (including obstetrical imaging and echocardiograms), Computed Tomagraphy (CT Scanning), Nuclear Medicine, Digital Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Bone Density Scanning (DXA). Interventional Angiography and Stereotactic Breast Biopsy are performed by a vascular and breast surgeon, respectively. All test results can be sent digitally to the physician who requested them.

To make an appointment for digital imaging with HealthAlliance, call the central scheduling number at 334-HAHV (4248). For the Margaretville facility, call 586-2631 x3245 to schedule X-rays, ultrasound, mammography, bone densitometry or CT scans.
