Podiatry Residency Program
The podiatric residency program at the Mary’s Ave and Broadway Campuses is an accredited program designed with emphasis on surgery with extensive surgical opportunities in the area of forefoot and rearfoot.
The program length is three years with the first year emphasis on developing clinical skills and patient management skills. The second and third year’s emphasis is on surgical skill development. Our curriculum is designed to provide training in all the core competencies providing the resident training in the breadth of podiatric healthcare and affords the resident the ability to work one on one with the Medical Staff during the resident’s training. At the completion of the program the resident will be eligible to sit for both the Podiatric Medicine and Podiatric Surgical Board Exams.
The program’s director, Michael Keller, DPM, FACAS is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Our program currently has 6 positions with two (2) new candidates accepted each year at the PGY1 level:
2 – Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1)
2 – Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY2)
2 – Post Graduate Year 3 (PGY3)
We are accredited by The Council on Podiatric Medical Education, American Osteopathic Association and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
We are centrally located in Kingston NY, just 2 hours north of New York City and 1 hour south of the state capital. The area offers shopping, hiking, boating, skiing, wine tasting, theatrical events, cultural fairs and an array of restaurants including the Culinary Institute of America.
