Mental Health Services

Overview

The HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley’s Mental Health Services at Mary’s Ave Campus offers evaluation and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric disorders through inpatient, partial hospitalization or psychiatric emergency services.

Our team of board certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, nurses, activity/art/music therapists and social workers are compassionate professionals who are committed to helping you improve your emotional health, whether you need short-term care or ongoing outpatient services.

Inpatient Hospitalization

Comprised of a dedicated group of professionals — a board-certified medical director, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, nurses, activity and social workers — the inpatient psychiatric unit operates in a team-focused, patient-centered environment where a forward looking approach to behavioral health is combined with compassionate and expert care.

The 21-bed inpatient Acute Care Unit, located on the second floor of the Mary’s Ave Campus’ SMC Building, provides intensive psychiatric inpatient care and treatment, along with individualized therapy, group therapy, arts and activities to patients in need of these services.

The 19-bed Progressive Care Unit, located on the second floor of the Hospital’s South Building, provides psychiatric inpatient care and treatment to patients who require a more open environment and anticipated discharge.

Adult and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Programs

Mary’s Ave Campus’ partial hospitalization provides psychiatric services for clients who require intensive treatment but can function more readily outside a twenty-four hours a day inpatient program. The program provides short-term treatment for clients to either avoid or shorten an inpatient stay. It is comprised of a multidisciplinary team including a nurse, social workers, activity therapist, psychiatric nurse practitioners and a board-certified psychiatrist. The main modality of treatment is group therapy focusing on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. We also offer alternative modalities such as movement therapy and pet therapy.

The program operates Monday through Friday during the day time hours, but program staff is available on call for clients outside regular hours. To request a referral form for the Adolescent PHP call (845) 334-3110 and for the Adult PHP call (845) 334-3120.
