HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley recognizes the importance of promoting best practices that demonstrate safe and high quality patient care. In addition, we provide you with the following information regarding our initiatives aimed at creating and maintaining the quality of care and patient safety in our hospitals, continuing care retirement community and nursing home.
The Care Enhancement Team
The Care Enhancement Team (CET) is responsible for changing the culture of the HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley by achieving a state of continuous survey readiness through Joint Commission type performance tracer activities, validating practices against policies, and recommending, and collaborating in improvement initiatives. The CET also provides support during surveys by setting up a command center and providing escorts, scribes and runners, to strategically support the survey process whether it is The Joint Commission, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid or the New York State Department of Health. The team also provides survey readiness education to the executives, leadership, and staff as part of the survey readiness process. The Care Enhancement Team expanded CET membership via an apprenticeship program, and educated and trained 24 apprentices in 2010.
