Feature: Fern Feldman Anolick Center for Breast Health
The new Fern Feldman Anolick Center for Breast Health provides comprehensive breast imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography and ultrasonography. Procedures such as minimally invasive biopsies are performed under ultrasound and sterotactic guidance. Skilled nurses, technologists and support staff in breast health from the previous Feldman and Greenspan Breast Centers will continue to coordinate and provide premier breast health services.
A Breast Patient Naviation Program is available to help guide patients through their treatment options and answer questions. The Center is part of the comprehensive breast care program located at Mary’s Ave Campus that offers radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical procedures, support services and pastoral care. These services are led by board-certified breast surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologist ans skilled support staff.
The Breast Cancer Care Program is the first in New York State and sixth in the nation to receive the certification, which recognizes dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in disease-specific care.
