Benedictine Hospital Auxiliary
The Benedictine Hospital Auxiliary has made tremendous strides in fund-raising activities to support and promote the welfare of the Hospital through services to the patients and the community. Since the founding of the Benedictine’s Hospital Auxiliary, the 115 year old organization has contributed more than $760,000 to support the Mary’s Ave Campus’ cancer center, Birth Place and the Behavioral Health Unit. In a three-campaign drive for the Hospital’s mental health unit, the Auxiliary raised $100,000 for new beds and renovations, and they will soon embark on another campaign to raise an additional $100,000 for the Behavioral Health Unit.
Fundraisers hosted by the Benedictine Hospital’s Auxiliary include: the Annual Victorian Tea, St. Patrick’s Day green carnation sale benefiting the Fern Feldman Anolick Breast Center and an annual Tree of Lights display where individuals purchase a tag to place on the tree in memory of someone special. The gift shop, which the Benedictine Hospital Auxiliary operates, sells get-well cards, balloons, flowers, plants, baby gifts, candy, minor toiletries, teddy bears, religious products, books and magazines, caps, dolls and additional items.
