Sports and Physical Medicine Outpatient Center

HealthAlliance’s Sports and Physical Medicine Center is one of the most widely respected in the Hudson Valley.  Our dedicated team of Physical Therapists is made up of leaders in their field who work with each patient to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation plan designed with the highest quality treatment. The goal is to restore optimal function and autonomy.  Using a variety of treatments, exercise and activities, they create compassionate therapy plans that consider your unique needs, abilities and objectives so you can develop new skills, relieve pain, promote healing and restore lost function.  Our therapists help restore people’s health and functional abilities after acute and chronic illness or injury such as joint replacement, arthritis, spinal disorders, sports injuries, musculoskeletal sprains and strains, neurological disorders, stroke, spinal cord injuries, heart surgery, and amputation. Our clinicians are leaders in their respective disciplines and professional organizations. Many hold advanced degrees and clinical specializations, provide clinical education for students, participate in community education and volunteer on professional-organization boards.

Inpatient Physical Therapy

Our inpatient therapy team is comprised of highly qualified licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants trained to evaluate and treat conditions in order to maximize functional independence. Our expert physical therapy team works collaboratively with a range of health care professionals, including nurses, physicians and occupational therapists, to create an individualized plan of care and assess discharge needs and options for our patients. Outpatient physical therapy services are also offered for patients who require rehabilitative services following their inpatient hospital or acute rehabilitation stay.
