Selecting a Doctor

mom and baby

We recommend that you choose a doctor or midwife early in your pregnancy, making an appointment to see the office and meet staff in the group. Your family doctor or midwife will make rounds each morning to examine your newborn. They will come and introduce themselves and talk to you about your baby each day during your stay, answering any questions you may have. If you choose to follow-up with a doctor who does not have pediatric privileges at the Family Birth Center, then a doctor on staff at HealthAlliance Hospital will see your baby during your stay and instruct you as to when you should follow up with your chosen doctor after discharge.

For more information, please call the Family Birth Center at 845.334.2700 ext. 2241.
