The Broadway Campus’ new Emergency Department offers 35 private and semi-private rooms, staffed by doctors who are board-certified in Emergency Medicine. Many of our exceptionally trained emergency care nurses and other emergency health care professionals have achieved the highest level of certification in emergency care. Physicians in most clinical specialties are available for consultation 24 hours a day.

Advanced Non-invasive Imaging Technology

Our enhanced imaging technology includes a new, 64-slice CT scanner for a higher degree of non-invasive visualization of heart and vascular disease and other body images. Advanced CT, X-ray and ultrasound technology also provides your emergency care team with faster, more precise detection — for rapid diagnosis and effective treatment of your medical emergency.

Certified Stroke Care

Every minute counts in the race to save brain function. Our Emergency Department meets strict national standards and guidelines and is designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission.You and your loved ones can depend on our multi-disciplinary team 24 hours a day, for rapid and exceptional diagnosis and treatment. Our staff and physicians are specially trained in the care and treatment of stroke patients and are skilled in administering r-tPA, the clot busting medication that can improve patient outcomes by stopping the stroke process.

The Broadway Campus has the ONLY accredited Chest Pain Center in the Hudson Valley. We are ready to quickly respond to all emergencies — from heart attacks and strokes to family illnesses. Fast Track Service for Minor Emergencies

Patients can also come to the Emergency Room for illnesses and injuries that are not critical in nature. Many ailments and minor injuries can be diagnosed and treated through our Fast Track program including:

  • Minor orthopedic injuries
  • Minor allergic reactions
  • Wound infections
  • Eye infections and injuries
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Simple lacerations
  • Upper respiratory infection
  • Viral syndromes
  • Wound checks

Fast Track is available 7 days a week 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
