Pastoral Care
Benedictine Hospital Pastoral Care
“Care of the sick must rank above and before all else, so that they may truly be served as Christ…” Rule of St. Benedict
As a faith-based hospital, Benedictine’s Pastoral Care Department seeks to provide spiritual and emotional support to all patients regardless of their religious affiliation. They offer the Sacraments of Anointing and daily Communion to Catholic patients, daily visitation to all patients and they are available at all times to care for their spiritual needs and offer support to all patients’ family. The Pastoral Care Team includes priests, sisters and lay volunteers.
Clergy of all faiths are welcome at Benedictine Hospital and are extended every privilege in comforting patients. Patients are welcome to invite their priest, minister, rabbi or other spiritual leader to visit at any time. With the permission of the patient or family, a patient’s spiritual leader will be notified of their admission to the hospital.
Pastoral Care team members can be reached at (845) 338-2500 ext. 4344.

Kingston Hospital Pastoral Care
Kingston Hospital’s Pastoral Care Team is guided by our Chaplain from St. Mary’s RC Church in Kingston. Our Pastoral Care team is comprised of Eucharistic Ministers, volunteers and community clergy, who visit patients and their families while making daily rounds to the nursing units and the Emergency Room.
We welcome visiting clergy and other members of the faith community. Patients can always request a visit through their floor nurse or through the switchboard operator. To contact the Pastoral Care office at Kingston Hospital, please call (845) 334-2700 ext 2493.
Pastoral Care Team Volunteers: We welcome individuals to join our team and volunteer their services for in-patient visitation. Training to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of the patient is provided. We hope to expand our group of Eucharistic Ministers who volunteer their services by bringing the Eucharist to parishioners while they are hospitalized. For more information, please call the Volunteer Services department at (845) 334-2761.
