Policy Win

In coordination with the Healthy After School Snack Food Committee, we are proud to say that we have been involved with making policy changes in the city of Kingston that has significant implications in the food that is available in vending machines in municipally owned and operated buildings. A resolution was adopted by the City of Kingston Common Council on October 1st, 2013.

Who We Are

The Community Heart Health Coalition of Ulster County was formed to promote heart disease prevention through physical activity and nutrition initiatives.

The coalition looks to increase the opportunities for our neighbors to choose healthier lifestyles through food selection and fitness opportunities.

As a community, working together we can combine resources to create programs and events, as well as supporting physical activity training and health education efforts.

We welcome the support, cooperation and volunteer efforts of all. To support or volunteer, contact Laurie Mozian at 845.338.2500 ext. 4061 or via email at Laurie.Mozian@hahv.org.

This project was made possible with funds from The Community Heart Health Coalition of Ulster County, the direction and coordination of Kingston Parks and Recreation and the help of volunteers.
