HealthAlliance CEO David Lundquist Meets with Kingston Mayor Shayne Gallo

Kingston, N.Y. – July 27, 2012 – HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley CEO David Lundquist recently met with City of Kingston Mayor Shayne Gallo Friday at City Hall to review the latest preliminary plans for a single, full-service, nonsectarian community hospital located at Mary's Avenue.

Mutual concerns were discussed, with an ongoing commitment from each to work together to preserve and enhance the quality of services to the community.

Lundquist said he looks forward to the organization's continued collaboration with the City of Kingston and will leverage its resources and input in facilitating the repurposing of its remaining facility after consolidation.

"Mayor Gallo shares our common goal of preserving quality healthcare services for our community while minimizing job loss," said Lundquist. "We will continue to share information as we develop a community health model that is sustainable for the future."

"I look forward to being a partner with HealthAlliance to ensure our City has accessible, quality health care services and that any plan for repurpose of the Kingston Hospital campus contributes to Kingston's economic development," said Mayor Gallo.

Lundquist said a new section at HealthAlliance's website (www.hahv.org) titled "Transformation Updates" has been added to provide confirmed information on the planning process. The section will be regularly updated with answers to commonly asked questions and any breaking news.
