Margaretville Hospital Provides Flu Vaccines in Lobby Pharmacy

Available to Insured and Uninsured, No Appointment Needed

news item

Margaretville Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is offering opportunities for the community to receive flu vaccinations quickly and conveniently in the hospital’s lobby pharmacy.

“It’s not too late in the season to get a flu shot and no appointment is needed,” says hospital Pharmacy Manager Randall Moore, RPh. “Our pharmacists will answer your questions and administer the vaccine.”

The recent National Influenza Vaccination Week, observed December 2- 8, was established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to highlight the importance of getting a flu vaccine through the holidays and beyond. Getting vaccinated late in the flu season can still be beneficial and should be done as soon as possible, according to the CDC.

Flu vaccines are available during regular pharmacy hours. All forms of insurance are accepted and the vaccine is free to individuals without insurance, while supplies last.

Margaretville Hospital will offer the flu vaccine through the spring or until supplies run out.

The pharmacy is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
