WMCHealth Physicians Expands Services With New Cardiology, Neurology Offices in New Paltz

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. (July 15, 2019) — WMCHealth Physicians, the physician practice of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), recently opened cardiology and neurology offices at the New Paltz Family Health Center, in collaboration with the Institute for Family Health.

The partnership brings access to specialized care provided by three WMCHealth specialists — Ellis Lader, MD, Joseph George, MD, and Fabio Danisi, MD — to residents of New Paltz and the surrounding areas at the Institute's David N. Mesches Health Campus at 279 Main Street.

"We're pleased to open these new offices in the Institute for Family Health's highly regarded New Paltz Family Health Center," said Robert S. Ross, Executive Vice President, Northern Region, WMCHealth. "This partnership expands on a longstanding clinical relationship that HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston has had with the Institute for 40 years."

Dr. Lader is Director of the Kingston Division of Cardiology at WMCHealth's Heart and Vascular Institute, where he practices cardiology. He is also on the medical staff of HealthAlliance Hospital, a member of WMCHealth. Dr. George is a cardiologist at WMCHealth's flagship Westchester Medical Center and practices in New Windsor through the WMCHealth Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Danisi is Associate Director of Neurology at MidHudson Regional Hospital, also a member of WMCHealth, and practices in Poughkeepsie.

"We're delighted to welcome WMCHealth Physicians to our campus in New Paltz," said Neil S. Calman, MD, President and CEO of the Institute for Family Health. "We collaborate frequently with WMCHealth to improve the health of our Hudson Valley community, and we look forward to working with them to offer high-quality and convenient services in New Paltz."

HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus is the main inpatient training site for the Mid-Hudson Family Practice Residency Program, run jointly by HealthAlliance and the Institute for Family Health.

HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus is also where the Institute houses its OB-GYN and Specialty Care Center of Kingston, and Institute family physicians deliver babies and offer family medicine services in the hospital.

The Institute is a federally qualified health center network that aims to improve access to high-quality, patient-centered primary healthcare targeted to the needs of medically underserved communities. The Institute's health centers are among the few in the region that accept all patients regardless of what kind of insurance they have, or their ability to pay for their care.

Drs. Lader, Danisi and George can be reached for New Paltz appointments at 845-288-1400.
