KINGSTON, N.Y. – March 5, 2018 -- Four community leaders will be recognized at the 29th annual Tulip Ball April 28, benefitting HealthAlliance, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth). Ted and Marilyn Rothlein are the 2018 Tulip Ball honorees, Nancy Davenport will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Frank Guido will be presented with the Community Service Award.

Saugerties residents Ted and Marilyn Rothlein are local philanthropists and longtime supporters of HealthAlliance. Ted, a real estate developer and entrepreneur, joined the HealthAlliance Foundation board of directors in 2003 and continues to stay involved as an emeritus member.

Nancy Davenport has been a member of the HealthAlliance its board of directors since its inception in 2008. She was also actively involved in a number of other community organizations, including serving as first woman president of Wiltwyck Golf Club, senior elder of Fair Street Reformed Church and board member of the Ulster Performing Arts Center. An attorney for more than 30 years, she recently assumed the position of vice president and head of government relations for Brighthouse Financial Inc., a life insurance company based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Hudson Valley restaurateur Frank Guido is widely known for dedication to the community. His family-owned restaurants -- Frank Guido's Little Italy, Mariner's Harbor and Port of Call -- increase tourism in Kingston and Catskill, employ thousands of local workers and support Ulster County nonprofits. A lifelong area resident, his generosity has been recognized by many local organizations, including St. Mary's Benevolent Society, the Ulster County Italian-American Foundation and the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce, which named him the "Heart of Ulster County" in 2009.

"Our 2018 award recipients are champions of local healthcare and exemplify service to the community," said Tulip Ball Chairwoman Marisa Perez-Rogers. "We look forward to celebrating their achievements at the Tulip Ball."

Event reservations are $210 and can be made by calling 845-334-2760 or by visiting FoundationUpdate.org.

The ball, held at the Lazy Swan Golf and Country Club Village in Saugerties, is organized by the HealthAlliance Foundation. "Proceeds from this annual gala will help to fund technology upgrades, treatment advances and training for hospital staff at HealthAlliance," said foundation Executive Director Steffen T. Kraehmer. "We are grateful to the individuals and businesses that have already shown their support."
